UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT
An alert indicates a condition that deserves attention; it is not a complete diagnosis or an automatic authorization to intervene. A good workflow preserves the original event and records the review that determines the next action.
Group duplicate events carefully and link them to existing investigations when appropriate. Record whether an alert was confirmed, explained by operating context or caused by data quality. If work is required, the resulting order should retain the evidence and normal approval dependencies.
Questions to take back to your team
- Can duplicate alerts be grouped without losing evidence?
- Is the diagnosis distinguished from the detected condition?
- Does created work follow the normal approval process?
